Lauren Sogor

Senior Strategist

As Senior Strategist at ACS, Lauren leads strategic communication, government relations and advocacy, policy analysis and strategy development for ACS clients.

ACS is one of the only female- and minority-owned consulting firms in Ohio. The women-led, women-driven firm has a national reputation for its communication and strategy development expertise and deep understanding of policy and advocacy, especially for organizations in the early childhood and K-12 education sectors. Lauren has more than 12 years of experience designing and implementing strategic outreach programs for organizations working to create a healthier, safer and more just world. Previously, Lauren served as the senior health communications manager at the National Partnership for Women & Families. Lauren has also provided communications, research and project management support to federal and foundation clients, including the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and AARP Foundation, while at federal consulting firms Hager Sharp and ICF International. She has managed multi-stakeholder national public health campaigns for national nonprofit organizations including Text4baby and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center.

In addition to her professional commitments, Lauren previously served on the board of Collective Action for Safe Spaces, a Washington, D.C.  nonprofit focused on eradicating public gender-based harassment. She taught a graduate communications course at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health and served as an associate editor for the journal Health Promotion Practice.

Lauren earned her Master in Public Health from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan.  Lauren lives in Shaker Heights, Ohio, with her husband, Bryan, daughter, Thea, two dogs, Hubble and Misha, and cat, Numbers.
