Nikki Reiss

Senior Strategist

As Senior Strategist at Advocacy & Communication Solutions, LLC (ACS), Nikki directs and supports strategic communication planning, government relations and advocacy efforts, policy analysis and strategy development for ACS clients.

Nikki has a sharp legal mind and more than 15 years of experience in public policy and strategic thinking. Prior to joining ACS, Nikki served as the Policy Director for the Richard Cordray/Betty Sutton gubernatorial/lieutenant gubernatorial campaign in Ohio. She was responsible for advising and educating the candidates on relevant policy issues, overseeing the development of all campaign policy positions, managing stakeholder outreach and policy working groups, and managing the campaign policy rollout schedule.

Since 2007, Nikki has focused her law practice on public policy. She led government affairs strategies at a prominent law firm with clients in the healthcare, energy, gaming, manufacturing, and insurance sectors with their strategic planning, relationship building, legislative priorities, public affairs, and grassroots engagement. She also led the Ohio Medicaid Coalition, a coalition of more than 250 organizations devoted to ensuring Medicaid remains strong at the state level. Nikki was a fellow with Ohio’s Legislative Service Commission.

In addition to her professional commitments, Nikki previously served as the board president for Dress for Success Columbus. She is a member of the Bar in the State of Ohio and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She earned a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University. Nikki is a native of Sidney, Ohio, and currently resides in Columbus.
